Hand-crafted bowls awaited Humanities dinner guests

Moms, dads, brothers, sisters, grandparents, aunts, uncles, and friends will all be gathering in the high school cafeteria Friday evening for a delicious meal prepared by the current and future Humanities students. Tenth and eleventh graders planning to go on the 2018 summer Humanities trip to Italy and France are offered many opportunities to do fundraisers that raise money for all the students going on the trip, as well as themselves. Tickets were being sold for a couple months prior to the dinner by participating students. Not only do the guests get served their food and drinks by the students, but they also get a pottery bowl made by Nicolette Hernke, one of the Humanities teachers, and a chance to win auction items that the students brought in. With the hundreds of dollars earned through this fundraiser, the Humanities students will get to experience even more of the European culture.
