Bomber Dancers get tough with the competition

Emma Samuelson, News Editor

On Saturday, February sixth, 27 squealing, Cannon Falls High School girls lined up in single file, receiving gold medals with blue ribbon. The Cannon Falls Bomber Dance Team acquired medals in both high kick and jazz, and will be advancing to state in both. It has been four years since the team was qualified for each category of dance, meaning some girls get the chance to obtain double the medals, and double the prestige. Leaving Thursday, February eleventh, the BDT will head up to the target center, where they will compete for jazz on the twelfth and high kick on the thirteenth. With some of Minnesota’s biggest competition, the Bombers will have to give it everything they’ve got and hold nothing back, because the other dance teams will be just as fierce. The 2016 State Dance Team Tournament will let fans into general admission at eleven A.M. on both days. Tickets will cost $9 for students and $14 for adults. So come cheer on the BDT as they dominate the floor.
