The sounds of scratching pencils, flipping paper, and groaning students, accompanied by the overwhelming smell of coffee, can only mean one thing- finals week is starting. This year Cannon Falls High School is trying something new for finals week by instituting a block schedule in order to give teachers the chance to give their students end of the semester tests, which has students scrambling to remember what they’ve learned in the past four and a half months. The schedule for Wednesday is:

1st Lunch

1^st period                                              8:00  –  9:30

2^nd Period                                             9:40  –  11:10

Lunch                                                  11:10  –  11:40

3^rd Period                                            11:50  –  11:20

4^th Period                                              1:30  –  3:00

2nd Lunch

1^st period                                              8:00  –  9:30

3^rd Period                                            11:20  –  12:50

Lunch                                                  12:50  –  1:20

4^th Period                                              1:30  –  3:00

with lunch periods being based on the third hour teacher.
