Light ’em up

Bass thumping, bodies dripping, and neon colors flashing, the third annual MORP black light dance was an overall success at Cannon Falls High School. DJ Bryan Anderson got the crowds moving, no matter how shy. They were entranced, whether it was 90’s rock, up-to-date pop, or songs most students had never even heard. Interact supervisor, Amy Dombeck, expressed that the MORP dance is where there are no decorations but the kids in neon. Senior Lauren Lecy was one of them. “…I thought it was really fun,” said Lecy. Not only was the dance fun, it also went towards a magnificent cause.DSCN0236

According to Dombeck, the money raised this year contributed to a school for boys and girls in Africa for pit latrines. Six hundred and fifty six dollars was raised at the third annual MORP towards the cause. With the fourth quarter nearing, Cannon Falls students’ MORP was a great way for kids to kick back and enjoy themselves. MORP will be coming next year in the second week of March for another round of black lights and neon colors.
