The Red Cross symbolizes how the blood drives are not in vein!

The American Red Cross needs your help to quench this blood shortage. The Minnesota Honor Society is putting on a blood drive for the Red Cross. Students and staff are invited to donate their blood on Wednesday March 6th during the school day in the IMC. Last year, over 75 students and staff participated, donating 59 units of blood which helped over 165 people. A simple unit of blood can save a life. O negative is the highest blood type in demand because it is the most versatile. Though the process is long and arduous to finally get to the table, the satisfaction of saving a life is worth it. During the procedure make sure to ask the nurses what blood type you have. Afterwards, blood donors are given a chance replenish their strength with lots of cookies, fruit snacks, and juice. One of the lovely MHS members will then escort them back to class.
