If you’re in the mood for a break from class before our teachers torture us with finals in a few days, come watch our drama class put on a hilariously witty play on Tuesday, January 16th. Ms. Stamer’s drama class will be performing “The 9 Worst Breakups of All Time” in the auditorium during third hour. It has been a long-standing tradition for the drama class to perform a one-act play each year to show off their hard work throughout the semester. This year’s group of drama students have been studying various acting techniques and different types of plays during their semester-long class. Stage presence and improv. are among the numerous skills these students have been practicing and learning. People who come to the play will be experiencing some students’ first times acting onstage, but also some with prior experience. Ms. Stamer stated, “Students in the class who do have experience acting have been great mentors and inspiration for others. Everyone has been working so hard on their lines and emotions while onstage, and my hope is that the audience will see all of their hard work pay off in this hilariously written romantic comedy.” We can expect nothing less than an outstanding performance by our own Cannon Falls juniors and seniors.
