Taylor Swift captivated stadiums during her Eras tour, and again captured the attention of audiences at Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour.

Taylor Swift debuted her Eras tour in early 2023, and has gone on to break records and cultural stereotypes. On October 31, 2023, she released a movie, Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour, which redefined the concept of a “concert film.” At showings, fans were encouraged to sing, dance, chant, and cheer during the movie, a breakaway from movie theater etiquette norms. Furthermore, her fans (deemed Swifties) treated the movie as if it were an actual concert, which raises the question, “What will future concert films be like?” Gavin Harrington and his co-hosts Grace Miller and Emily Breland break down The Eras Tour’s cultural significance and its effect on a changing movie theater landscape.

About the Contributors
Gavin Harrington, Special Projects Editor-in-chief
How's it going? My name is Gavin Harrington and I'm a senior podcaster and videographer in the Lantern. I enjoy living out my usually unassuming days: sitting with a friend over call, listening to podcasts, looking out the window on a car ride, living life.
Grace Miller, Editor-in-Chief
Salutations! I am Grace Miller, the editor-in-chief for the Lantern. I am heavily involved in FFA, speech, and my job as a barista, but my true calling is cherishing factual news sources, delving into American scandals, and appreciating corn. When I have free time, I play with my poodles. They also like scandals.
