Valentines Day may be the awkwardest holiday known to mankind. Single ladies hope and pray they won’t be the loner on Valentines Day. The few lucky ladies and gutsy guys usually end up having awkward dinners with small talk about the weather. Then on February 14th every boyfriend, husband, or special-guy-friend is pressured to go the traditional route and buy their special someone chocolates, flowers, or jewelry; however this Valentines day the choice is simple. Thanks to the new We Act Representatives in our school, buying jewelry this year has become an easy task. For only $10 “We Are Rafikis”, beautifully beaded chains, will be available for purchase in time for Valentine’s Day. Purchasing these is a win-win situation, and the biggest win will be for the mamas in Kenya who hand make all of the Rafikis chains. With one Rafiki purchased, five dollars will go back to the mamas to support themselves and their families. For the strong, independent ladies who “don’t need no man”, get your gal pals a Rafiki.  Also, don’t be shy ladies, tell your men you want a Rafiki for Valentine’s Day. Guys be a man and surprise the women you like with a Rafiki, and help support another woman across the world.
