This upcoming weekend the Cannon Falls Speech Team is heading to their final competition of the season: state. The speech team has been working very hard this season, starting in December. Sixteen competitors are competing in state on April 22nd, including: Molly Bowen, Ryan Schlichting, Grant Schlichting, Josie Ramler, Jordynn Zier, Miranda Felton, Amanda Wulf, Sam Hamann, Iris French, Hannah Singewald, Carley Norton, Nick Engebretsen, Laura Johnson, Kristy Allen, Hannah Johnson, and Rachel Hartman. This season, seven people had gotten fourth place; one away from qualifying for state. However, last year the speech team entered 17 into state and was able to win first, with 2 state champions and many more in state finals. Good luck Cannon Falls Speech Team on Saturday and speak well!
