A taste of adventure

The Humanities dinner is a much anticipated occasion

Bonjour! Ciao! Hello! In June, Humanities students will have the opportunity to greet native Italians and Parisians during their 11 day trip to Europe. Traveling to France and Italy as a part of the semi annual Humanities trip, students are being presented with a grand opportunity to satisfy their cravings for adventure. The Eiffel Tower in Paris, the Vatican in Rome, and the Doge’s Palace in Venice will be some of the highlights of the 11 day trip.  Throughout the year Humanities students participate in and hold many fundraising events to offset the cost of the trip, and tonight marks the annual Humanities dinner. Tonight more than 200 guests will pack the auditorium to support this year’s travelers. Tickets are $30 and for this price, you get appetizers, a fabulous meal, entertainment, and a handmade bowl. Almost all of the ticket price (about $28) will go directly towards students’ trip funds. There will also be a silent auction with many phenomenal items to bid on. Emma Thomley and Sarah Modrak will dazzle with their rendition of the Italian song “Lascía Ch’ío Píanga,” and Kathy Illa will entertain with her piano music. Doors open at 6:00 pm, and the delectable dinner will be served in the freshly decorated atrium at Cannon Falls High School at 6:40.
