Life is a box of chocolates
“All you need is love. But now and then a little chocolate doesn’t hurt.” Great advice from Peanuts cartoon writer Charles Shultz for those still looking for gifts to bestow upon their lonely hearts. Valentines Day isn’t just a time for love birds, it’s also for sharing discounted dollar store candy with friends or pranking your sister by sending her a rose in the name of her “secret admirer.” Cannon Falls concessions stands every day during lunch will be selling roses and carnations (February 9th-11th) to benefit the WEPO trip, and Rafiki bracelets (February 9-14) with proceeds going back to the African mama’s who made them. So avoid awkwardly professing your undying devotion to someone and say it with material goods- like chocolate.
