Pfizer is still the leading distributor of the Covid vaccine.

As each week goes by, more and more people are getting their vaccinations in Minnesota. Between March 28 and April 1, 217,861 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine were administered statewide in Minnesota. Between March 21 and March 28, there were 332,648 doses given. In total, 1,770,290 people have had at least the first dose of their two-dose vaccine series. Of those, 1,129,863 have received both doses, as of April 1. Most people who are receiving the vaccine are aged 65 and older or aged 18 through 49 years old, according to the MDH (Minnesota Department of Health). In total, there have been 2,530,455 series of the vaccine shipped to Minnesota providers, most of which are from Pfizer. The majority of those doses are shipped to pharmacies and primary care clinics to be administered. There are currently three versions of the COVID vaccine being given. Pfizer, the first to be approved, makes up 50.9% of all doses given. Moderna is next with 46.3% and Johnson & Johnson is last with 2.8%. 

At Cannon Falls Area Schools, it is leading into the third week of full-time in-person learning for the majority of students in the middle/high school. The week of March 19 through March 26, last week, 70 students and 7 staff members were quarantined at home due to either having close contact with someone who tested positive for COVID-19 or exhibiting symptoms themselves. In total, since September 8, 2020, 19 staff members and 42 students have tested positive for COVID. 

In Goodhue County, as of April 2, there were 155 active cases of COVID-19, according to the Goodhue County Department of Health and Human Services. Of those, there were also 4 people hospitalized due to COVID at that time. In total, there have been 4,202 cases and 70 deaths since COVID was found in the county. As the COVID vaccine is being administered throughout the state, there have been 16,667 people who have at least the first dose of their COVID vaccine and 10,441 people with the completed series. 

In Minnesota, on April 2 alone, there were 2,075 new cases of COVID-19, according to the MDH. There were also 11 newly reported deaths on April 2. In total, there have been 526,267 cases of COVID and 6,875 deaths because of it. 

According to the CDC (Center for Disease Control), there have been 448,010 cases of COVID-19 reported in the U.S. between March 28 and April 4. In that same week, there were 5,633 deaths. In total, there have been 30,492,334 cases since January 21, 2020. From those, there have been 553,681 deaths in total.
