Madeline Carlson is one of the many talented artists here at Cannon Falls, and she is also this month’s Senior High Artist of the Month. Her medium right now is oil paint, but she enjoys drawing with pastels and charcoal, too. She is not sure what she would like to do when she gets out of high school, although her top two choices are graphic design and the medical field. When asked what art meant to her, she said, “I bonded with my mom through art growing up, and it’s just something we are both interested in.” She also mentioned that art really opened up a new perspective on human existence, and she really enjoys the historical part of it, such as learning about famous artists and their work. To Madeline Carlson, art means a lot, and it is something that she will always enjoy doing.
