On Tuesday, February 25, 2025, the Cannon Falls chapter of the Minnesota Honor Society worked in conjunction with the Red Cross to host a biannual blood drive. Signups took place the previous week during high school lunches, with a multitude of students opting to give blood. While this spring’s blood drive was not as incentivized and advertised as previous events (some of which offered monetary rewards for donating blood), high school students and community members (pictured above) alike participated.
This school year, two Red Cross blood drives were staged: one in the fall organized by the student council and one in the spring put on by the honor society. Students 16 and above were able to give blood, with 16-year-olds requiring parental permission.
