The Bombers play a captivating game

The Cannon Falls Boys Soccer team has started their season with a record of 1-5. Although they had started a little rough, the Bombers have finally started to connect as a team. The leaders for this season are all of the seniors, which are Jack Freeberg, Riley McGeough, Isaac Nelson, Jonathan Bronen, and Billy Wilson.

The team has now started to gain team chemistry, as senior Riley McGeough said, “since everyone on the team gets along it helps us in games.” This makes it easier to communicate with each other. Isaac Nelson also stated, “team bonding has gone really well so far, but there are still things that can be improved on the field.”  Improvement on the field may consist of passing more to each other, as stated by McGeough. The chemistry that the boys soccer team has allows them to build off of each other and create a stronger bond, hopefully leading them to continue a great season.

As the Bombers season progresses, the boys always have goals and season matches to look forward to. Senior, Jack Freeberg has said, “Fairmont is the team to beat this year since we had lost to them in playoffs last season.” Besides competing against great teams, the Bombers say they love soccer for many other reasons besides the competitive games. Nelson says he’s, “looking forward to helping out the younger kids in order to improve the program for feature years to come.” One of Freeberg’s favorite things about soccer is going out to eat fast food after games with his teammates.

The Bombers have continued to work hard through all the challenges they have faced this season, which will increase their abilities to reach the goals they have set for themselves. The team leaders have kept a positive attitude towards the outcome even if it’s not what they had hoped. The Cannon Falls Boy’s Soccer team has their next home game on Thursday, October 6  at 4:30 pm.
