Starting Tuesday, April 2nd, 2024 a new school-wide phone rule will be implemented. At the beginning of the year, the phone rule was that no phones were allowed during class and that middle school students should keep their phones in lockers throughout the day. This rule has been decided to change by teachers deciding that students would be more productive if a new rule were introduced immediately. The school board voted on the new rule and it passed seeing that it would benefit the productivity of students. 

The new rule states that students must be on their phones throughout the entire class and that phones are not allowed during lunch or passing time. If a student is seen not on their phone during class they will be sent to after-school detention. Detention will also apply if a student is on their phone during passing or lunchtime. The new rule will help the students of Cannon Falls High School positively by making their productivity and ability to learn easier for students.
