Senior Chloe Lingelbach recently announced her commitment to play NCJAA Division II softball and further her academic career at Dakota County Technical College (DCTC) in Rosemount, Minnesota.

Lingelbach played on Varsity for the Cannon Falls Softball program during the 2023 season. One of seven seniors, Lingelbach served as a vital leader for the Bombers. She was a versatile player on the team this year and her positions included 3rd base, pitching, and hitting. Lingelbach’s positivity and leadership on the field made her a valuable asset to the Cannon Falls softball program. During practices, she was always determined to expand her skills in the sport and is excited to specialize her talents through experiences at DCTC. At DCTC, she will be playing similar positions as she played on Varsity at Cannon Falls High School.

When asked how she made her final decision to go to DCTC, Lingelbach explained it was a tough choice but concluded that if she were given the opportunity to continue playing softball she would take it. Lingelbach expressed, “Being so close to home and getting a scholarship also helped solidify my decision.” She chose DCTC for a multitude of reasons. Lingelbach enjoyed the smaller environment at DCTC and its community-like campus. Additionally, the coaching staff were welcoming, encouraging, and excited to have her as an addition to the upcoming 2024 season.

Lingelbach will be attending DCTC in the fall where she will be majoring in individualized studies and getting her generals done. Lingelbach explained, “Once I transfer to a university I will major in transportation logistics analytics.” Once she gets a job, Lingelbach will be a part of a supply chain, figuring out ways to make it more efficient.

Meanwhile, Chloe finished playing softball for the Cannon Falls Bombers, who had their last regular season game  against Kasson-Mantorville on Thursday, May 18 and started their postseason on Monday, May 22. They will most hosted their first playoff game and hoped to continue winning throughout the playoffs with the goal of returning to the section championship, once again, for what would be only the second time in program history.
