Cut loose
The start of the school year brings auditions for the school’s fall musical, Footloose.
On Thursday, August 25, actors of Cannon Falls Middle and High School should prepare to kick off their Sunday shoes during auditions for the fall musical, Footloose. Each year, the theatre department at the high school puts on two productions: a musical in the fall, and a play in the spring. A few months ago, Vienna Qualey directed CLUE and will be directing the musical this autumn.
Auditions for Footloose begin at 3:10 on Thursday, but there is no ending time set in stone for the auditions. Actors are expected to prepare a short clip of a song that highlights the talent in their voice. Additionally, they will dance, a staple of the story.
Once the roles have been cast, the thespians will prepare the musical for friends, family, and the community and will tear up this town with their performances of Footloose during the first weekend of November.
