The farmer’s share breakfast is a tradition the Cannon Falls FFA chapter puts on yearly. The breakfast takes place at the end of FFA week to help spread agricultural awareness. FFA week takes place the week of George Washington’s birthday to recognize how the agricultural organization and members of the FFA have progressed in agriculture. The farmers’ share of breakfast is used for agriculture awareness to show people that not all the money consumers pay for the goods goes to the farmers. Instead, the majority of the cost comes from the processing, marketing, and distribution of the products.
This year the breakfast will be taking place on Saturday, February 22nd at the Cannon Falls high school in the cafeteria from 8:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m. Members of the FFA chapter will make and serve all the food. FFA Members will also help set up everything in the building for the breakfast. The breakfast has been a tradition for many years and is always a fun but important event.
