Movie review for Disney’s Frozen

“Let it go, let it go! Can’t hold it back anymore!” Audiences and critics alike have not been able to hold back how much they adore the movie Frozen. Serving as co-directors, Chris Buck and Jennifer Lee brought this animated masterpiece to life.

The story of Frozen was inspired by Hans Christian Andersen’s fairy tale The Snow Queen. The beloved “Snow Queen” of this movie, Elsa, was voiced by none other than Idina Menzel. Best known for her starring role as Elphaba in the Broadway production of Wicked, Menzel does not disappoint. From the beginning to the end, her singing and voice acting never disappointed. Voicing the role of Princess Anna, Elsa’s fearless yet quirky younger sister, would be Kristen Bell.

Frozen is a story about the brave Princess Anna going on a humorous journey up a tall and snowy mountain to save her sister and her town from a very long winter. It brings moments that will make you laugh until you cry along with moments that will touch your heart. On her journey she meets rugged mountain man Christoff and a talking snowman named Olaf who just can’t wait to see what summer is like – what every story about winter needs. Every time I have watched this movie it has seemed like I am watching it for the first time. Though the belief that Disney Movies are for little kids is a common one, this Disney movie is definitely one worth seeing.
