Good Play, Charlie Brown
CFHS Actors Perform Musical – “You’re A Good Man, Charlie Brown”
“Yesterday, I was a dog. Today, I’m a dog. Tomorrow, I’ll probably still be a dog. Sigh! There’s so little hope for advancement.” –Snoopy Mary Franz beautifully personifies Snoopy’s crazy antics with flamboyant acting and glitzy dance numbers. Matt Lockett as Charlie Brown embodies that sense of optimism though times may be tough and life may be hard. Hannah Brummund exemplifies Lucy’s “crabby” yet darling personality. Throughout the performance, the audience’s attention is held with the use of fast-paced scene changes and quirky one-liners. Short stories and charming anecdotes tell the life lesson that comes from a day in the life of Charlie Brown. Through his awkward misfortune, Lucy’s misguided rampages, and Snoopy’s comical interjections, we see that maybe… life’s dog days aren’t so bad after all. You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown makes its debut Thursday, November 14th and runs through Sunday, November 17th. Shows on Thursday through Saturday are at 7 pm, and the last show on Sunday is at 2pm. Tickets sell for $6 for adults and $4 for students and children.
