With less than 4 months to the end of the 23-24 school year, graduating seniors are finalizing their post-secondary plans. To help them along, a plethora of organizations in the Cannon Falls Area offer scholarships. This year’s local scholarship application is due on Monday, February 26th.

With around 50 scholarship opportunities, there is one for nearly every student. There are options for students pursuing four-year, two-year, and technical post-secondary education and any career path. Some scholarship criteria may include participation in a certain sport or extracurricular, certain career interests, or an additional essay. Students must also submit one letter of recommendation, although some scholarships require a second letter as well.

A finished application consists of the application, the general essay, a letter of recommendation, and any other materials required by specific scholarships. Students must print one copy — single-sided — and turn it in to Josie Erlanson in the front office by 3 p.m. on Monday. They must also email a PDF copy of each element to [email protected]. Letters of recommendation may be turned in with the application or emailed directly to Josie by the recommender. No late applications will be accepted.
