5K kickoff on Saturday

It’s here it’s here! The race of the Cannon Falls Area that runners all over this amazing city have been waiting for. Starting Sunday, October 4th, the yearly Bomber Blast 5K will have people running down to the CFHS for sign up at noon for $25 a person. Now some people may not participate because running isn’t their strong suit, but that’s not all what the Bomber Blast is all about. “Running is a fun activity so people should do it! And it’s good exercise with people so go do it!” Exclaims junior Jenna Kremers who, like the other juniors at her school, are running the Bomber Blast as a fundraiser for the High School Prom. “It’s a good way to be healthy and very fun with kids cheering you on all the way. There will be T-shirts, snacks and fun prizes so come on down!” Encourages Robin Nelson, the Junior Class advisor at CFHS. That’s all the Bomber Blast is – a fun way to help sponsor our juniors and seniors. “Run fast!…Then walk fast!” Says senior Mason Beissel as he gets pumped for the race to come. So come out and run, walk, pogo stick or just simply sit on the sidelines and watch as kids and adults of all ages come out on next week’s beautiful Sunday with 60 degree weather and a smiling sun. So come on down and have a blast!
