Performing for a new audience
At 7:00 this Thursday, April 27, the Cannon Falls speech team will be hosting a community night.
Speech competitors must gather at the school before their weekly Saturday tournaments.
Strutting out of their section victory on April 15th, the Cannon Falls High School Speech team is inviting the public to their community night performances on Thursday, April 27th.
Starting at 7 p.m. in the IMC at the high school, a plethora of speakers from the team — including 15 that will compete at the state tournament on Saturday the 29th — will give a taste of the 13 categories that comprise the speech team by performing their speeches.
Community night presents a list of benefits: a practice performance for State competitors, a recruitment event for the team, and a great opportunity for the Cannon Falls community to see the successful speech team and everything they have worked hard on over their long season.
All members of the community, even those with no ties to the speech team, are heavily encouraged to swing by the high school and watch the various performances put on by this year’s speechies.
