Rafiki bracelets
Student Council will be selling $10 Rafiki bracelets in the concessions stand from March 19-23.
Handcrafted by mothers in small African villages, Rafiki bracelets are a perfect way to buy something that benefits everyone. The colorful beaded jewelry provides the buyer with a beautiful bracelet that can be worn anywhere. In Swahili, rafiki means “friend”. Proceeds will go to the creation of wells to provide water, infrastructure, and more for the villages that crafted the bracelets. Student council will be selling Rafiki bracelets in the concession stand at all lunches from March 19-23. Selling for $10 each, the Me to We program supports the sales to help people in need. With no sales a couple weeks ago, student council is hoping to distribute these bracelets to students throughout the school.
