Record setting meet

Several Bomber cross country runners set personal and season records at their recent home meet

Last week, the Cannon Falls Bombers Cross Country team hosted its only home meet of the season. The meet was held at the Cannon Valley fairgrounds. With the meet, the Bombers found great success, for both varsity runners and middle school runners.

Varsity runners run a 5K for their race (3.1 miles). During the meet five Bombers set season records for time: Isaac Anderson, Leonel Hernandez-Lopez, Axel Rapp, Lucy Lindahl, and Lydia Brechtel. In addition, three more runners set all time personal records; these runners include Wyatt Nelson, Breck Rustad, and Monette Otterness. Sam Wagenknecht did not set any records at the Bomber’s home meet but he had a notable finish coming in at 19th.

In addition to varsity runners setting records, middle school runners set records as well. Sabella Jensen set a season record while John Vandagriff and Henry Flodeen set all time personal records.

After numerous great runs from the Bombers at their home meet it is time to look forward to one more invitational meet followed by the Conference Championships and Section meet.
