Sample of new honor roll certificate

Hard work and success paid off as 173 middle schoolers were given an “A” or “B” Honor Roll certificate. On December 9th, middle schoolers used a Ramp Up schedule to fit in the awards ceremony later in the school day. Starting with the silver-coated “B” Honor Roll students they then moved on to the gold-coated “A” Honor Roll winners. The color coating along the edges of the certificate caused some controversy. Jeremy Soine, an 8th grade student says, “I didn’t like how they color-coated the “B” Honor Roll as silver and the “A” Honor Roll as gold.” A few other middle schoolers would agree with Jeremy’s statement. On the other hand, many students would comply with 8th grader Molly Bowen, “I liked them because they rewarded people that have been working hard throughout the school year.” As Mr. Hodges said, this shiny award would go nicely on a refrigerator door for all to see.
