In honor of April’s Fools, the CFHS Lantern will be letting our satirical counterpart — the LED — take the reins for a week, and all of the work published on the LED website from Saturday, April 1 to Friday, April 7, will be purely satirical.

Satire is a category of writing entirely removed from the fact-based journalism that the Lantern usually provides. Works of satire are intended to be comedic, and in that vein, are not fact-based but fabricated for their humorous value.

The following graphic provides a definition for satire and will be added to every satire article published in order to fully inform the viewer.
