The Bomber volleyball team has concluded its regular season with a record of 13-8, which earned them a #2 seed for the section playoffs. Led by seniors Katie Noble, Callie Loeschke, Hailey Huseth, and Danielle Hanson, the girls are ready for the run towards state.

I’m so happy to have had the season that we did

Fighting hard with tooth and nail, the Bombers managed a 6-2 record in conference play. With key wins over HVL rivals Byron and Kenyon, the Bombers worked their shin guards off, competing with the best of this part of the state and succeeding. In non-conference play, the Bombers smacked down on Edina and Woodbury and took on upper class welterweights Roseau and Farmington in very competitive losses. It was a season that senior captain Katie Noble was ecstatic to have and a team she was grateful to be with. “I am so fortunate to have spent my last season with these girls,” she said. “It was such an amazing experience and I’m so happy to have had the season that we did!”

As the last games get closer, the team hopes to send off its seniors in style. A first round matchup against Pine Island is in store for Thursday the 29th with the section finals coming two days later on Halloween. There, the Bombers hope to haunt the Civic Center and achieve a state tournament berth, something that has been on their fingertips, but not grasped.
