Cannon Falls will be represented by two athletes at this year’s state wrestling tournament. Freshman Calvin Singewald and Sophomore Gavin Peterson have both qualified for the state tournament and will both be wrestling in their respective weight classes on Friday, March 26th at St. Michael-Albertville High School.

Freshman Calvin Singewald will wrestle at 2:00pm against Victor Franco in the 113 lb weight class. With wins over Tyler Kreidmacher and Peyton Spychalla, Singewald and his 31-1 record should have a field day at the state tournament.

Sophomore Gavin Peterson will wrestle at 2:00pm against Matt Randolph of Scott West in the 106 lb weight class. At an overall record of 31-3, with four wins over top ten ranked wrestlers in the state, Peterson should have a great day on the mats.

Singewald and Peterson are both very eager to compete and will leave their all on the floor at state, and spectators should be excited. Again, both athletes will wrestle at 2:00pm on Friday, March 26th at St. Michael-Albertville High School. Make sure to tune in and support our Cannon Falls athletes!
