Before the Byron game, the Bombers had been struggling as they were 1-3 in four games, but the team is now hot, stringing off some wins to end the season, and ride the momentum into the playoffs. Cannon’s next game was against the Lake City Tigers. It was homecoming week and the Bombers were hyped to play. This proved to be true when Cannon caged the Tigers and won 52-6. The Bombers dominated in the run game, acquiring four rushing touchdowns by Mason Hofstedt and one passing touchdown to Carlton Lindow. The Bombers offense led the show with 539 total yards. Connor Flaten, a senior captain on the team, said with regards to the win, “We just kept racking up points the Bomber way.” On defense, Carson Chytracek had a big night with seven tackles. It seems that the Cannon Falls Bombers are working together in pursuit of a long  playoff run. They have two more regular season games left on the schedule. The Bombers look to defend their home field against the Kasson Mantorville Komets Friday night at 7 pm.
