Prom is one of those high school events people remember for the rest of their lives. This year, with little to none COVID-19 restrictions, students are excited for their prom, regardless if it is their first or their last.

The Grand March starts at 4 p.m. on May 30th but the Auditorium will open at 3:30 p.m. for guests. There is a $2 fee to watch the March but kids elementary school age or younger get in for free. Students participating in the march need to arrive from 3-3:30 to allow time for line up. After the march students can go and take pictures or eat if they please. The dance itself starts at 7 p.m. at The Grand in Northfield and will go until 11 p.m.

Students do not need to eat before the dance because there will be dinner there. On the Menu for the night is a sliced sirloin of beef and a grilled chicken together with a fresh fruit salad. There will also be poppy seed dressing available, homemade French bread, garlic mashed potatoes, and freshly steamed veggies. Various drinks such as pop, coffee and water will be available all night. There also will be a dessert buffet that will serve whoopie cookies, brownies, M&M bars, chocolate chip cream cheese bars, rice krispies with chocolate drizzle, and there also will be a gluten-free brownie option available. Prom can be a very exciting night for those who attend and great memories can be created.
