Ahh! According to Mishele Barnett in their article The Enigma Of Dyatlov Pass: A Journey Into Mystery “ Numerous theories have emerged over the years in an attempt to explain the Dyatlov Pass Incident.” Still, no one can figure it out but what people believed happened was people were screaming and running away. What they are running away from is a mystery. People have been trying to figure it out for years, even decades. When a group of hikers don’t return on time they send a search party to look for them. What they find is disturbing and weird. Many people wonder if these mysteries can be solved.
When a group of ten hikers from the Polytechnical Institute set out on a journey, nine of the hikers were students and graduates from the Institute. The leader was Igor Dyatlov, who was the tenth person in the group and a teacher at the Institute. The pass was later named after him because of what went down on that trip. When they set out to the Dyatlov Pass in January 1959, something happened that no one could have expected. When they planned the trip they set a date to be back, but when the date arrived they were nowhere to be seen and no one had heard from them, this sparked concern and curiosity in the community. What could have happened to them was what many people were left wondering.
According to Mishele Barnett in their article The Enigma Of Dyatlov Pass: A Journey Into Mystery “As days turned into weeks and the group failed to return as planned.” This happened between January 1959 and February 1959. The group set out in January and was found roughly a month later in February. When the group failed to return on schedule, it raised concern among the community, frazzling everyone, and prompted them to send out a search party to look for the group of hikers. Once the search party set out, it was only a couple of days until they stumbled upon the group of hiker’s campsite. It wasn’t any ordinary campsite, the campsite was completely destroyed. The worst part was that the tent was slashed open from the inside, indicating a swift exit. It gets weirder because all the bodies of the hikers were found on the ground not far from the campsite.
Since people thought it was so weird and unusual for them not to return on schedule, they sent a search party to look for them. What the search party found was not good or what anyone expected to find. When they went looking, they found the group’s tent slashed open and bodies around the site. They were able to identify all the bodies as the people who set out from the Institute roughly a month earlier. The part that made this incident even more weird was that the people in the group were only partly clothed and they were injured. All of the people in the group were injured not just one or two, the injuries were not small either they were pretty significant. For example, some of the group members were missing body parts. None of the injuries were bruises or anything like that; they were all more significant and had no traces of what could have happened.
This incident might stay a mystery forever, no one knows what could have happened. There are so many theories and speculations and what could have happened but no one knows for sure. According to Mishele Barnett in their article The Enigma Of Dyatlov Pass: A Journey Into Mystery “theories that have emerged in attempts to unravel this enduring mystery” are found in paragraph one. Still, there are no clear answers explaining this mystery. It is so important to learn and keep in mind what happened that day to stay safe and realise anything is possible. According to Mishele Barnett in paragraph fourteen of their article The Enigma Of Dyatlov Pass A Journey Into Mystery “In the end, the Dyatlov Pass Incident serves as a poignant reminder of the mysteries that lie beyond the horizon. Apparently there are some mysteries that just aren’t meant to be solved. Most of this information was found in Enigma Of Dyatlov Pass: A Journey Into Mystery written by Mishele Barnett.
