“Blue!” The kids scramble across the gym with baggy shirts and red foreheads. Colors was one of the various games played at the Student Council Parents Night Out that occurred Friday from 7 p.m-10 p.m. Student Council Advisor Mrs. Dahlen goes into detail of the eventful night, “I think it was very successful we didn’t expect very many kids since it was our first year…we had between 20 to 30 children.” Children glued their eyes to the movie Frozen and sang with the catchy tunes.

Other than the movie Frozen there were many other activities for kids to do. “Everything seemed to be pretty enjoyable…a lot of kids stayed at the movie the whole time, some stayed in the gym, and some stayed the arts and crafts the whole time. Kids with grimy hands from some kind of art substance tried to touch bystanders as they shrieked with glee. Others watched the games in the gym such as colors or were pretending to be peppy cheerleaders on the sidelines. Although the kids had grimy hands and loud voices, Student Council President Ryan Foster thought it overall to be enjoyable. “Yes it was an overall success considering it was the first time we ever tried something like this. It really worked out and the reviews from the parents were very positive and almost all of them that stopped in said we should do this more often and that it was a good idea,” said Foster.
