When five robots become shipwrecked on an island, only one makes it out. Meet Rozzum 7134, also known as Roz. The purpose of a Rozzum is to take care, clean, and serve people, but Roz ends up in an environment opposite to her destination. As Roz adapts to the environment, she learns how to build connections with the animals on the island and how to be a mother. The Wild Robot published on April 5th, 2016, written by Peter Brown, has now become a DreamWorks animated film 12 years later. The Wild Robot was released in theaters on September 27, 2024. Roz loves her friends and family along with her home in the wilderness and wishes to stay where she is, but it’s not long until her creators call her to where she’s supposed to be. It will be up to Roz to make sure her true home isn’t destroyed because of her actions and refusal of returning to where she came from.
Those who have read the book trilogy of The Wild Robot are excited about the first movie. At first, when the trailer came out, many people doubted that it would be a good film. But when the movie finally came out many people found it beautiful and heart-warming. Many adults found the movie nostalgic and those who read the books as kids had a chance to see The Wild Robot as a film. Roz and the rest of the characters had great character development throughout the movie. People felt a sense of connection with the characters and thought most scenes had emotional depth to them. Roz’s relationship with the characters brought excitement and love to many viewers. The animation and art were extraordinary as DreamWorks put in much effort to make every detail pop out in the movie. Parents also thought The Wild Robot was great, as most understood what Roz was going through. Despite the amazing reviews and the nostalgic connection with the movie, there is still criticism against the movie and DreamWorks.

Despite The Wild Robot missing a few scenes from the book, it still had the same meaning and plotline. Fans can’t wait for the second book of The Wild Robot to become a film, as many are curious how Roz’s story will continue on.
