Tis the season to give

The Student Council’s annual giving tree is up now. CFHS students have the opportunity to donate clothing, toiletries, cleaning supplies, and more to Caring Hearts.

Cannon Falls students can place their donations in the giving tree bin in the atrium.

With Christmas just around the corner, the season of giving has begun. This December, the Cannon Falls High School student council is once again hosting its annual Giving Tree donation drive. This year’s drive will run from December 11th to January 5th.

Each year, the Student Council selects a local charity and collects donations from the school and the community to deliver to the organization. This year, they have decided to support Caring Hearts in Action, a volunteer organization based out of Farmington.

This year’s Drive will be accepting in-season clothing, new hygiene products, cleaning supplies, diapers and wipes, and various other household items. More information about acceptable donations can be found at the Caring Hearts website.

Students who would like to donate can drop donations — in a bag labeled with their name and Ramp-Up class — at the donation bin in the Atrium. The Student Council will track donations and the Ramp-Up class with the most donations at the end of the drive will receive donuts and juice.

Howdy doodly! My name is Bowen Maki and I'm a muse with a camera. I'm a senior and I take pictures and videos for the Lantern. When I'm not behind the camera I like to be in front of it with theater, speech, and weightlifting. I have a deep love of psychology, skating, and stuffing my head with useless knowledge.
