Upcoming Events: School Schemes With the Student Council

Student Government Prepares for Homecoming

Cannon, Cannon, loyal are we, Red and Black will boost us to victory! School has started. Fall weather is around the corner. Football season has been kicked into gear. These things only mean one thing to the Student Council – HOMECOMING is upon us.

October 7-11 will be filled with many exciting festivities taking place at Cannon Falls Schools. Every year, the Student Council brings Homecoming to Cannon Falls in different ways, but we’re confident that this year will be among the best.

The Student Council has been in the planning process and implementation of Homecoming since the mid summer months, attempting to bring this school another successful year of Homecoming celebrations. A newly designed weeklong schedule and various original activities will surely be much to look forward to.

Community and school involvement is at the forefront this year – a business decorating contest may help do the trick of increased relations, and some form of a community service project may just seal the deal. Furthermore, expect original dress-up days, entertaining activities, and many opportunities to buy a friend a Moose Hug or two.

Among other things that have been put into place (or are in the process of being set up) starting this month include: the weekly reciting of the Pledge of Allegiance, a continually updated announcement board, and a Student Council suggestion box so that all ideas within the school have the potential to be heard.

Fight, fight, fight, our motto will be, CFHS, Go, go, fight, fight, win for the Red and Black!
