While contiuing their rigorous metal sign making, We the People (WEPO) is turning to another form of fundraising for their soon approaching Nationals tournament. On March 3, from 5-9pm customers of the Hasting’s Chipotle will have the option of allowing 33% of their receipt go towards the WEPO trip. Those who are interested should bring a flier or inform the cashier that they are there to support CFHS We the People. Prior to this, WEPO held a similar fundraiser at Culver’s in February. Both the Chiptole and Culver’s fundraisers were the ideas of Loeschke’s first semester student teacher, Nicholas McGrath. WEPO must have their trip fund collected by April 6 and anything they are not able to fundraise will have to come out of the pockets of the students and their families. The group will leave for the competition April 24, which is approaching quickly, and return April 27. With only a eight weeks left to prepare and four weeks left to raise money, WEPO is working furiously.
