As both the seventh and eighth grade softball teams got off the bus ready to start a fresh practice, they asked each other about who wanted to be partners. They set their bags down, put their cleats on, and grabbed their gloves. They ran out to the outfield, set their gloves back down, and started their warmup, and afterward started to throw the softball to warm up their arms. Coach called the girls in and officially started their practice by first discussing tomorrow’s game.

When asked about it she said, “No, because we have only played a few games.” As for Sindt, she said, “It’s going okay.” But they still believe in their favorite part of the game. Robinson said that her favorite part was, “Hanging out with friends,” and Sindt’s favorite part is, “Seeing her teammates improve. But the bright side to not being able to play games is that the players get to practice their position, Sindt’s favorite positions are all of the outfield positions and Robinsin said hers is Third.
As the end of practice is closing in, the team starts to put all the equipment away. One group puts the net away and the other puts away all the buckets of random equipment in the coach’s truck as the the catchers put away their gear. The team meets at the pitcher mound and talks about the plan for the next day. They break it down and pack up the rest. They were ready to compete against Goodhue tomorrow and take home another win.
