watching the year come to a close, but feeling your heart stay open. you reflect upon all the failed resolutions and the completed ones too. an immeasurable sadness descends upon you as you realize that the time that you had spent so frivolously is a significant portion of the finite time you have on this planet. then, you watch the sun rise on the new year, bringing forth new objectives, setting you up with a blank slate.
