Crazy sweaters are a feature of dress-up days in CFHS Student Council’s Winter Week

As Christmas is quickly approaching, there are a couple of exciting activities that Student Council has diligently organized to engage the student body over the next two months.

First of all, Winter Week is the last week before break — December 19-22 — and the days have been assigned fun wintery dress up themes to help spread Christmas cheer. Monday is Pajama Day, Tuesday is Red vs Green, Wednesday is ugly sweater day, and Thursday is whiteout. We do not have school that Friday!

Next, The Giving Tree — an event that promotes the season of giving — is taking place from Decmber 19 – January 13. The Giving Tree occurs every year for which Student Council collects donations on behalf of an organization. This year, the Disabled American Veterans of Minnesota Foundation (DAV) is collecting gently used clothing to sell and give the proceeds to fund programs for veterans.

Finally, the High School Winter Formal is on Saturday January 14th from 8-11 pm in the atrium. The tickets will be sold for and $8 presale from January 9th through 13th and $10 at the door. The theme this year is New Year’s in New York.
