Cannon Falls student council hosts the Giving Tree annually. New items such as clothes, shoes, toys, and toiletries will be brought to the bin by the main office between December 18 and 22 by middle and high school students. Past years have been very successful with many bags full of items for people who are in need. Previously, items have been sent to the Ronald McDonald house in Rochester who gratefully accept donations to distribute amongst families who don’t have as much although, the location for this year’s donations is yet to be determined but the council is hoping for it to be a success. To help with that goal students will be bringing in sacks of gifts, starting Monday, that may add more joy to a family’s holiday season.
