In the book, The Longest Ride, it follows the sad but exciting story of Sophia and Luke, and it is impossible to not fall in love with this endearing couple. Ira Levinson, a ninety-one year old man, is found by Luke and Sophia on their way home from a date. He guides Sophia through the thick and thin using the letters he had written to his late wife. The Longest Ride, will keep the reader on the edge of their seats as they discover a deadly secret that could ruin this couple’s happily ever after. Nicholas Sparks leads the reader through a roller coaster of emotions, portraying the selflessness and dedication that is necessary in love.

The two love stories were woven together perfectly, without a flaw. This book makes people feel the different emotions that come with relationships. Nicholas Spark’s novel is a heart-tugging romance genre. Throughout this book the reader learns that relationships can be messy, but the people who are close are worth the sacrifices made.
