Seniors took part in their annual bonding ritual at Buffalo Wild Wings

Buffalo Wild Wings

The crowning of a new monarch is a historical event. King Louis the XIV, Queen Elizabeth the 2nd, and now from Cannon Falls, Grant Schlichting the 1st and Queen Grace Hall. The Coronation feast to follow included the majority of the Senior Class parading to their banquet hall for the evening, Buffalo Wild Wings. As the King and Queen approached the doors, a deafening roar exploded from their subjects and the feast began. Waiters rushed from table to table to control the chaos that entered their place of work.

The climax of the night had a drastic change however from the crowning, to the death defying attempt from a fellow classmate- Jackson Maki taking on the Bdub’s Blazin’ Wings challenge. The brave knight fought the fiery wings of death head on, forcing them down before the heat engulfed him. “Everyone there was pushing me to do this,” recalls Maki on his epic quest. “I felt horrible afterwards. I had eaten a full meal before so wasn’t the smartest thing to do but I fought through that horrible six minutes. It wasn’t so much the heat of the sauce, but more the hotness of the wings.” Maki’s strategy was the same principle as the senior classes’ attitude towards life in their last year of high school- just go for it.
