A group of seniors pose for their picnic pic

It’s no picnic in the park – wait…yes it is

Burgers, brats, and beans. Practically sums up all that happened on the Senior’s Yearly Picnic up at Lake Byllesby. The same thing every year, but there is one difference with every class throughout Cannon Falls. The memories. This is a time when the whole class comes together for a group picture and just getting to spend time with the kids they have grown up with.

The idea of “Senior” has been an ordeal for some, and brings excitement to others. It’s the simple way of saying the end of one adventure, and the start of another one. Being a senior myself, I find the whole journey one that doesn’t seem to be happening at all. People say that your senior year goes by so fast you don’t remember it, but it just shows that time doesn’t stop. At one point or another every child is going to have to pass this threshold, and the class of 2018’s time has come. All that’s left now is to make as many memories left out of the halls walked by countless generations and prepare themselves for the next step in their life.
