Stewartville invite

The Bombers’ first Cross Country Meet was September 1st in Stewartville. It was a hot sunny day, but that didn’t stop the junior high and girl varsity runners from setting personal records for their season ahead. Wyatt Nelson, an 8th grader, finished 21st place in his 1600-meter race. Due to the weather and a number of the heat-stroked varsity girls, the boy’s varsity race was stopped a few minutes after starting. The full results of the meet are available at wayzataresults.com. Senior captain Brighton Lochner stated that “The upcoming season is looking great.” The team is working hard in practices. “Some of the things our practices consist of are running around the track to find a good, steady pace for the race and running lengthy distances to get us in shape for running fast during a meet,” Lochner explains.
