Tab Room
The tab room is the mission control center for speech. However, the tournament would not run as smoothly without the magical website Speechwire. Everything is organized through Speechwire, the results, room assignments, speaking times, and even past results. After each round, all of the judges bring their ballots and results to the tab room so that the scores can be recorded. Two people at least work together to enter in the scores. One person reads off of the ballot and the other person types it into Speechwire. Honestly, the best part about the tab room is always being able to check on everyone’s scores because the competitors are not allowed to know. At the end of the tournament, the Speechwire site arranges the best scores in order for the awards ceremony. Workers in tab have to make sure all of the paperwork is organized and double check the scores to be certain that there were no mistakes.
