Stewartville invite
The Bombers’ first Cross Country Meet was September 1st in Stewartville. It was a hot sunny day, but that didn’t stop the junior high and girl varsity runners from setting personal records for their season ahead. Tri-City United Invite
On September 8th the Bomber Cross Country team competed at the Montgomery Golf Course. The varsity boys were excited about their first race of the season and all the runners finished impressively on the hilly course. Sam Wagenknecht came in 1st for the boys’ varsity team. Prescott Invite
On September 15th the Bombers raced in Prescott a course that is more challenging than the last because of its numerous steep hills. Wyatt Nelson finished 1st in the boy’s Middle School race and Avery Novak finished 7th in the girl’s middle school. Pine Island Invite
On September 22 the bombers raced at the Pine Island Golf Course. Gavin Johnson ran his best time and finished 9th place in the Boy’s Varsity race. Ivy Smith, a 9th grader, also ran her best time. 8th grader Wyatt Nelson placed 2nd in the Boy’s Junior High race and 7th grader Avery Novak finished 3rd in the Girl’s Junior High race. On September 29th the Bomber Cross Country team ran at the Zumbrota Golf Course for the 5th meet of their season. On October 4th the Bombers competed at the Chatfield Golf Course, a course hilly and challenging enough to be nicknamed “Death Valley”. Grace Ohmann ran her fastest 2-mile race in the Girl’s Junior High race and Gavin Johnson finished 6th in the Boy’s Varsity race. The Boy’s Varsity team finished in 8th place. K/M Invite
On October 10th the Bombers Cross Country team raced in Kasson-Mantorville. Gavin Johnson placed 4th and Samuel Wagenknecht placed 15 in the Boy’s Varsity race and Avery Novak finished 11th in the Girl’s Varsity race. Conference Meet
On October 18th the Bomber Cross Country Team ran in Goodhue for their Conference Championship Meet. Gavin Johnson finished All-Conference in 9th place with his best time of 17:42.
