Weez-ing their way to top
A timeless classic, the band Weezer has recently had a surge in popularity with the younger generation.
The both iconic and groundbreaking band Weezer has grown immensely popular amongst the younger generation in the past few months. With their songs of hardships and the frustrations that come with life, their cleverly composed lyrics make the band immensely relatable and give avid listeners a troupe to identify themselves with. In fact, the band is so incredible they can be heard in various movies and TV shows such as Cars 2 (2011), Yogi Bear (2010), Shrek Forever After (2010), and many more. Their talents are also recognized by their ability to sing about cheese as well as eating candy with pork and beans and still compose melodic masterpieces with those seemingly random topics. If that isn’t enough to prove their popularity, the “Pork and Beans” music video consists of many recognizable figures such as the Chocolate Rain guy, leave Britney alone, numa numa, and the Star Wars child, truly a staple of early 2010’s Youtube culture.
As a matter of fact, it was announced that Weezer will be performing here in Cannon Falls at John Burch Park on June 9th, 2022. The band discussed their world tour earlier in the year and plan to follow through with their promise to play for their immense fanbase in Cannon Falls, Minnesota. The 2020 census showed that over 90% of the population of this small country town listen to Weezer with “religious frequency.” Rumor has it that the band will also be providing food and beverages that include meatloaf, courtesy of their hit song “(If You’re Wondering If I Want You To) I Want You To”, and vitamin water, energy flavor, based off of “Let It All Hang Out.” The turnout of the concert is predicted to have around 100,000 in audience attendance when adding up the abundant quantities of tickets that were sold. It is no shocker that the quartet were able to acquire such a large following and the highly anticipated concert will only further demonstrate their musical talents.
