Luke LaMoore prepares for finals

James Watson, staff writer

As second quarter comes to an end, students from grades 9-12 scramble to review notes from the past half year as the semester finals begin to appear. On January 21st and 22nd, teachers will hand out a special test for their students to take. For those students that are new to this, the regular school day is split into two days; Thursday the 21st will be hours 1, 2, 3, and 4 with each class being 90 minutes instead of the normal 50. Day two will consist of hours 5,6 and 7 with school getting out at 1:30. The reason for the extra hour and a half is to finish up any finals one might not have finished in the time given to them. Those who finish everything are allowed to leave school when the bell rings at 1:30. And if going from one final to the next seems like something that will kill the brain, there is a ten minute break between each class to give students a quick break or prepare for the next class.
